The temple is unique for the prime deity of Lord Karthikeya along with Lord Narasimha. As per Hindu Mythology, it is believed that both idols have emerged from the earth.

A cattle fair is organized in the month of December every year. Farmers from neighboring states including Karnataka and Maharashtra participate to enhance the glory.
